Most of News Related with Tattoo is Not good!

Saturday, January 3rd, 2009 | Tattoo Blog | No Comments

Though lots of celebrities like tattoo and have tattoos, tattoo is still connected with crime in most cases for public. Everytime I search for “tattoo news” with Google, lots of news is negative news such like a waman was assaulted by a man with a tattoo on neck or a body with a scorpion tattoo was found etc. You can search now to test if I tell the truch at once. The following is a story from today’s “tattoo news“, let’s see what happened.

Police release tattoo image from body

A large tattoo featuring an eagle and a tiger could be the key to identifying a man believed bludgeoned to death and the body dumped in Melbourne’s east.

Police have issued an image of the distinctive tattoo on the badly decomposed body, found by a former policeman on a dirt road at Park Orchards on Friday evening.

The black ink tattoo, covering the man’s entire back, features a roaring tiger with a swooping eagle above it and surrounded by swirling designs and clouds.

An autopsy was held on the body - believed to be that of a middle-aged man - on Saturday, but the cause of death has yet to be established.

It’s estimated he died about two weeks ago, Homicide Squad acting Senior Sergeant Wayne Cheesman told reporters on Saturday.

“Because of the state of decomposition we are still doing some forensic tests to establish the race of the person,” he said.

“We do believe it’s male, possibly 175cm tall, we know the person had probably had long shoulder length black hair.

“There is severe trauma to the person’s head, so we believe he’s been struck a number of times by a heavy blunt object.

“It’s quite gruesome, very gruesome actually.”

The retired police officer and his wife who found the body had noticed a foul smell in the area for a fortnight.

When they went to investigate, they found a leg protruding out of some plastic and bedding wrapped around a body.

There were two diamond earrings in the left ear - one a silver diamond stud. Reading glasses were found in wrapping around the body.

“We are going through our missing persons reports and our records on tattoos, so hopefully we can make some progress through our forensic testing and those inquiries,” Sgt Cheesman said.

“We also ask for people to come forward … any help makes our job easier.

“If anyone in the area in the last two weeks saw cars coming or going, anything suspicious, call Crime Stoppers.”

It was the third body found in Victoria in recent days, but Sgt Cheesman said he did not believe they were in any way linked.

A man’s body was also found on the Mornington Peninsula and another was washed up on a beach at French Island.

“It’s a busy time for us but there is no indication they are connected,” Sgt Cheesman said.

Not good news, is it?

Tattoo and Art

Tuesday, December 30th, 2008 | Tattoo Blog | No Comments

In this article,  Jennifer Von Reuter reports tattoo is not just Needles and Ink, there are more meaning for tattoo.

HAGERSTOWN, MD - Artists from across the four-state region now have a new venue to showcase their works of art.

Temple Art Tattoo Studio has been sticking people with ink for years.  Now the owner has designed a place for other works of art to be showcased.

Shayne Foy recently moved to a bigger studio and thought she would use the extra space to feature local artists.

Five artists are represented through oil paintings, photographs, stained glass and pencil drawings.

Even though some of them think a gallery in a tattoo studio is unorthodox, Foy is hoping to attract art enthusiasts and change the perception of tattoos.

“People are biased against tattooing all over the place.   It’s becoming more and more accepted, but we’re artists.  It’s as simple as that,” Foy said.

It’s an idea that seems to be working.  Foy says people have been constantly looking in the windows to check out the artwork.

It’s all about art, whether it’s permanently on the skin or a piece you can enjoy hanging on a wall.

Most of the art on display is for sale, and Foy says they’ve sold some pieces since the art gallery opened in November.

Tattoos and child rights

Wednesday, December 24th, 2008 | Tattoo Blog | No Comments

The Editor, Sir:
I need someone in authority to shed some light on this new phenomenon among children called the ‘tattoo’. I am somewhat confused as to what children are allowed to do these days.

Are they allowed to wear a permanent tattoo? Is this one of the rights of the child? Are there medical consequences down the road for these tattoo-sporting children. Recently, a mother reported that she could not give blood for her daughter’s surgery because of her tattoos.

Claiming ignorance

Many parents of tattoo-sporting children claim that they have very little control over what they do since they say that they did not know how and when the children had them done. One mother, when pressured about her child’s action, actually gave an explanation that was plausible, I suppose - that it was her (the mother’s) name that was written in the tattoo.

It is my opinion that in the same way it is illegal for children to purchase cigarettes, alcohol and games of chance, children should not be allowed to purchase permanent tattoos, and the adults who put them on should be criminally charged.

I am, etc.,

Tattoo:A Whole New Language

Saturday, December 20th, 2008 | Tattoo Blog | No Comments

Tattoos are how my children’s generation expresses its individuality, which is why they all have one.

I have nothing against tattoos: They’ve been used for centuries to identify which sailors on a particular ship got drunk the night before. But at least those sailors, upon awakening and seeing the name Sheila inked into their shoulders, have the satisfaction of being able to say, “Who the heck is Sheila?”

My children are not sailors, but they are all of the generation who are determined to do to their own flesh what the Exxon Valdez did to the Alaskan coastline.

“You don’t need to draw permanent lines in your skin,” I’ve told them. “Believe me - age will do it for you.”

They roll their eyes at this: Clearly, I don’t know anything.

“It’s how I express my freedom of expression,” my daughter says.

“It’s also how incarcerated felons express their boredom,” I counter. Another eye-roll.

“I’m going to get one that says Tabula Rasa,” she announces. “It’s Latin.”

“You don’t speak Latin!” I respond sharply.

“That has nothing to do with it.”

“You don’t even like Latin music!”

It’s ironic that when I say something intelligent, like “Eventually your tattoo will fade and stretch and look like some sort of skin disease,” my children pretend I’m stupid, but when I say something stupid like “You don’t even like Latin music,” they act like I’ve made a good point.

“I like some Latin music,” my daughter corrects.
